Baby update

Well, I guess it's time to change the name of the blog.  We do have a first name for our baby, but not the middle name yet.  His name is William and we will call him Will.  For those of you who don't know, he is named after my dad.  We had an ultrasound last Wed. at 28 weeks to check on him and get a measurement of the thickness of my cervix.  They wanted to do this since I went early with Emily.  We got a good report and everything looked great according to the Dr.  Here are a couple of pictures we got.  The ultrasound tech held the probe still and we watched him move around.  I was able to feel him moving while watching.  That was really neat!  We will keep you updated!

Happy Halloween!

For Halloween, Emily was a bumblebee.  She enjoyed wearing her costume and could tell everyone what the bee says.  She went trick-or-treating with Jake in Chapin.  Jake was a Clemson football player.  Jake got scared of some of the scary costumes, so he stayed at his house and helped Nana and Pop hand out candy.  He told everyone that came up to the porch. "say trick-or-treat".  Nobody was getting candy without saying the "magic" words!  Emily went trick-or-treating with Bama and Grandpa (my in-laws) and she loved getting candy out of the bowls and putting it in her bag.  They were in town for the USC/UT football game the next day.  The game turned out well for some of us!  Emily had a great Halloween!  Saturday was Aunt Suzanne's birthday.  I don't have any of those pictures.  Happy Birthday Aunt Suzanne!

Jake took Emily for a ride on his motorcycle.  He let Emily sit in front while he drove them around most of the day!

Summer Adventures

I know it has taken me awhile to post about our summer. We went on two trips. One to Kansas City to Bama and Grampa's house in July. Aunt Biz and Evie joined us. The girls really enjoyed spending time with each other. Emily wanted to do whatever Evie was doing and it was too cute. She was not walking well at the time, but she crawled as fast as she could to keep up with her cousin. While we were there, we went to the zoo, had pictures made of the girls together and just spent time at the house enjoying the pool. Here are some pictures of the week.

Our second trip was to Tenn to see the Crabtree's. It was such a nice, relaxing visit. They live on a farm and have horses. Emily loved when it was time to feed the horses and she had a great time on her pony ride! Her and Ellie got along great! We had a really good time.

Happy 1st Birthday Emily!

On Sat, June 14th, we celebrated Emily's first birthday!  We had her party at Nana and Pop's lake house.  She really enjoyed all her company, her gifts, and her favorite part, her birthday cake!  For those that don't know, Emily loves to eat.  At one time with icing and cake all over her mouth and hands, she looks over at John and I and says, "mmmmm!"  That might have been better than any of her gifts!!  Here are some pictures and videos of the special event.
